Holiday Season Brings Many Car Accidents

This season is one for spending time with friends and family members. It is a time of reflection and to enjoy the ones you love.  The holidays also bring on a higher rate of travel and as more people hit the New York roads, the risk of being injured in an auto accident goes up.  By taking some precautions, you can reduce your chances of a car accident. 

Winter snowstorms and wet weather can create unsafe road conditions.  Before you pack up the kids and head out to Grandma’s house, check the driving conditions.  Black ice, wet roads and other hazards can put you and your family in danger.

As always, don’t drink and drive.  This tip applies during the holiday season and throughout the year.  There is no question that getting behind the wheel when you are intoxicated is a bad idea.  Alcohol tends to flow freely at holiday parties and family gatherings, so make sure you have a designated driver and if needed, call a cab.  It’s worth the money.
