Partner Michael S. Levine has been practicing law for 23 years, following his 1985 admission to a number of state and federal bars, including the bars of New York and New Jersey; the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey; and the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. "I view all of my cases as a battle that I must win in order to get the insurance carriers to compensate my clients," he says. "The greatest joy that I have in my professional life is being able to help my clients get fair compensation for their injuries." A 1979 graduate of Hobart College, where he was a Dean's List student and captain of the tennis team, Michael earned his J.D. from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1983. He belongs to both the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association, where he serves on the Grievance Committee and Judicial Screening Committee; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, where he is a member of the Board of Directors. Michael lectures several times a year on his areas of expertise, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability accidents, construction accident litigation, and trial preparation and tactics, before the New York State Trial Lawyers Institute and the Suffolk County Bar Association. Michael and his wife Pam, an eye surgeon, live with their two children in Suffolk County on Long Island. Michael is currently serving a two-year term as the elected Mayor of his village. He is also a volunteer fireman with his local fire department. He and his family enjoy all outdoor sports. Michael and his wife are also actively involved in charitable causes, including those concerning breast cancer and cystic fibrosis.
