Following his 1971 admission to the New York Bar, partner Michael R. Greene worked as a prosecutor in the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. He joined Rappaport, Glass, Greene & Levine in 1977. "The thing I enjoy most about personal injury law is the opportunity to help people at times in their lives when they are most vulnerable and help is vitally needed," he says. "I enjoy being there for them, and in every case, I feel I make a difference." Michael earned a B.A. from Syracuse University in 1966 and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1970. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a member of the Suffolk County and New York State Bar Associations; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; the Nassau/Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association; and the Criminal Bar Association. Michael has been a guest lecturer to insurance companies and college groups on issues concerning personal injury cases. He is known for his tough negotiating skills, and has achieved million dollar results in difficult and complex cases. Michael and his wife Thea, a Clinical Nurse Specialist, have two sons, Paul and Cary, two daughters-in-law, Julie and Elizabeth, and two wonderful grandchildren. They are all avid runners. Over the past 20 years, Michael has completed 19 marathons, and is preparing for his 20th! A member of Bass Masters, he also enjoys fishing, especially for Muskie in Canada. His greatest joy comes when the entire family is together at their vacation home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
